We’ve designed the Conversion Kit to load your information into an Archive Works demo site for you to see how Archive Works actually works.
COMPLETE
Complete the contact form (available here) and we will send you an appropriate sized box.
PACK
When you receive your Conversion Kit, pack your items into the postage paid box and drop it in the USPS mail. We will accept:
- 1 roll of microfilm
- Up to 10 hard copy newspaper issues
- Up to 10 digitized newspaper issues
- Up to 10 photographs (must include metadata*)
- Up to 10 digitized photographs (must include metadata*)
*Metadata – this is information about the photographs that will be used to search and find the individual photographs such as date, location, identifiable people or landmarks. The information must be provided separately on a printed page or text file.
UPLOAD
When we receive your Conversion Kit we will scan, index and upload the items to Archive Works. We’ll test the quality of the images and return your items to you.
DEMO
We will contact you to walk you through a 10 minute demo of the application. We’ll show you how to customize the interface with your own colors and fonts, we’ll show you how to perform searches on the items, and we’ll show you how to manage and update your collection.
TEST DRIVE
Then we set you free. There’s absolutely no obligation. Try Archive Works for free for up to 30 days. Call us with any questions you have. Ask patrons what they think. Then let us know what you think.
